Sainik School Mainpuri

Sqn Ldr Vijay Kumar was commissioned into the Helicopter stream of the Indian Air Force on 16 Jun 2016. He is an alumnus of Sainik School Tilaiya and National Defence Academy. He is a second generation officer.

The Officer has a rich and varied experience of operational flying on various helicopters in North Eastern and Northern sectors including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Uttarakhand etc.

During his career, he has served at various parts of India including Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.

He is married to Mrs Deepmala, who is working as Senior Analyst with KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services LLP.
