Meaning: "Where women are honoured, there the deities are pleased; but where they are not honoured, no sacred rite yields rewards. God dwells where women are worshiped".
The spirit of Gargi, the woman scholar from the Upanishads, guides the mission of this house which is to produce women of substance, whose feet will be rooted while their hands reach out to steer change and progress. It is desired that every cdt who passes through the portals of the house emerges as a wholly developed individual symbolizing the spirit of enterprise and inquiry that characterizes Gargi.
The colour given to our house is purple. The colour purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace and pride.
Gargi house maintains the eternal tradition of excellence and equality and channelizes its energy with its sizzling and heart throwing performances throughout the year.
Our girls proved their mettle in academics and performed well showing consistency throughout the year. We are privileged to have Cdt Priya Pandey, the first girl of Sainik School Mainpuri who became the first school head girl and lead the Sampurian Family and Gargi House on different events held at school. Cdt Ridhima Gangwar, house captain lead the house and maintained proper discipline of the house. Gargi house stood first on various events.Gargi house won the inter house SPELL BEE I and Inter house SPELL BEE II both competitions.
Our house also participated in interhouse HINDI ANTAKSHARI competition and got the first prize. Cdt Riya Sen yadav and Cdt Ananya pal of class 6th stood first in Hindi Pakhwara Poem Recitation whereas Cdt Pari Chahuan of class 6th got second prize in Hindi Pakhwara Paryawachi Padya Competition. Cdt. Shambhavi Rathore and Cdt Samriddhi Singh took part in inter house Hindi Debate competition and won first prize for house. Cdt Shambhavi Rathore and Cdt Riddhima Gangwar got first and second prize respectively in inter house slogan competition on the topic "Save Earth".
On the occasion of Janmastami Inter House Poster Making competition was organised and Cdt Bhavya Kumari got first prize and Cdt Anjali Kumari got the second prize for the house. In Hindi Sulekh competition organised in school Cdt Pari Chahuan got the first prize and added another feather in cap of Gargi House. Cadets of Gargi House also participated in Social Science Quiz and won the event with their quick answers.
A powerful and educated woman builds a strong society. Our house is creating powerful leaders of tomorrow by participating and leading in various events organised in school.
